OVERVIEW
What is EdCast LXP?
EdCast is an AI based learning experience platform which helps organizations for upskilling and building career mobility for their workforce and enable their L&D teams to easily discover, curate and assign content to the employees efficiently.
EdCast's Google Chrome Extension provides seamless experience for admins to create, share and assign content with different group of employees easily and faster directly from the content resource.

More than 70% of the customers said they do not use EdCast's Google Chrome Extension
GOAL

Address problem areas in the existing design to improve the user experience to make the integration usable and valuable for the customers.

By improving user experience, users will be able to perform crucial tasks like content discovery, assigning and sharing easily even from outside of the platform.

PRIMARY USER PERSONA
Identifying behaviors and needs and goals of the primary persona which will help me address the user journey and pain points further.
EdCast's Content storing structure on the platform- Journey contains multiple Pathways and pathways contain multiple SmartCards
INTERFACE ANALYSIS AND USER FEEDBACK
User feedback collected from informal customer interviews combined with desk research and online reviews. Further I also did cognitive walkthrough helped me understand usability and navigation pain points of the existing design.
In a perfect world I would conduct usability testing and heuristic evaluation to address pain points in the existing designs.

Customers find it difficult and extremely confusing to use EdCast's Google Chrome Extension making it less valuable for them to use it in their flow of work.

Summarizing major problems based on the research and analysis and defining recommendations for ideation phase
IDEATION PHASE
FEATURE IDEATION AND PRIORITIZATION
Further I brainstormed feature ideas and also solutions to improve existing features based on the earlier insights. Then I prioritized them based on primary user needs, reach and value in collaboration with the Product Manager.
TASK ANALYSIS
Task analysis helped me understand what are the important tasks users might perform on the Chrome Extension in their flow of work to further help me design low-fi screens and flows.
